| The pontoon
|
|
At SOUTHLAND each tube has at least five sealed air chambers on the 24' and over model unlike others manufacturer's use only three. Each chamber is separated from the other by a rigid aluminium cover which adds rigidity to the tube and insures safety. Even if you perforate a pontoon, there will be only one of many chambers taking on water.

| Performance 3 Package
|
|
A third tube with plates of aluminium added between the tubes create a running surface that delivers smooth dandling and stability for a comfortable ride.

| Tubes
|
|
Tubes are 25'' in diameter on luxury models. The material is 0.081 thickness H-5052 alloy corrosion resistant Marine Aluminium.

|
| Deck structure
|
|
The deck is made of 3/4’’ (19 mm) douglas, 7-ply, pressure treated (.40 CCA), marine grade plywood. The deck has a lifetime warranty against rotting, and, since it is screwed to the crossmembers every 8’’ (203 mm), SOUTHLAND extends this warranty to also cover warping and delaminating.

| Carpeting
|
|
Marine grade carpet quality is 28 oz (840 g) on Champagne, X-Stream RA, Luxuria RA and Luxuria models. On other models, it is 20 oz (600 g).

| The strongest motor mount
|
|
Aluminium high performance motor mount is engineered for efficiency and for support the large and heavy four strokes. SOUTHLAND provides the strongest motor mount on the market.
Cross members
The cross members are type ‘'Z''-sphaped channels bolted to the ‘'M'' extrusions with 3/8'' stainless steel bolts and nuts.

| Railing

The gates are mounted on 1 1/4” (33 mm) anodized tube.The snaps, to fasten the top, are pre-installed on the gates. On our luxury models, some sections of the gates are lined with a foam product, thus considerably increasing rigidity. Finger savers come standard on all models.

The aluminum is inserted and cushioned horizontally and vertically as well for more durability and free vibrations.

| Consoles c/w services
|
|
 The consoles on the Champagne and the
X-Stream RA are equiped with a services area which includes a counter, a sink, an ice box, a garbage can and a glove compartment.

All our furniture bases are made of rotomolded plastic except on the FLY SE model where the furniture bases are made of aluminum.

Our tops are made of « Top Gun » canvas and carry a 5-year warranty against excessive fading. Our full camper tops cover the entire deck, including the foredeck, thus preventing water infiltration under the door.

Our designers went through a lengthy process to come up with this folding seat/bed that allows for maximum storage space in the seat.

| Valence
|
|
A redesigned valence. This extra thick valence is entirely soldered to the pontoon which adds tremendously to the strength of the structure.

| Cast aluminium corner
|

A cast aluminium corner with baked paint and integrated cleat. This gives a very pleasing apparence, and a greater impact strength when boat is docking.

A redesigned bumper. This bumper, fixed on all our deluxe models, gives to your pontoon boat a very pleasing apparance. And more, it is anodized.
